IPSEA (Independent Panel for Special Education Advice) This is a national charity providing free legally based advice to families who have children with special educational needs.Advice Line: 0800 0184016 (Mon-Fri 10-4, Mon-Thurs also 7-9 pm)This is the number to call if you have any questions or problems concerning your child’s education.

Manchester Parent Partnership Service (under the umbrella of Parent Support Service)Helpline: (0161) 209 8356Offers support, advice and information to parents and carers to increase their involvement in the education of their children with special educational needs (SEN). It offers support with education letters and meetings about a child’s SEN. It has also produced the ‘In the Picture’ leaflet series with information about SEN, School Action and School Action Plus.
